Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Belgium
JRS workers provide support to internally displaced people, refugees in camps, asylum seekers and forced migrants in towns and detention centres. The JRS activities cover education, temporary help, healthcare, basic needs and social assistance. JRS also advocates for the rights of refugees and migrants. They specifically support migrants in closed centres (Bruges, Merksplas, Caricole) and undocumented migrant families who are looking for a durable solution for their living situation.
In Belgium, the JRS is committed to promote hospitality, and to accompany and defend refugees and forced migrants in detention centres and return houses.
